    Dear Shri Srivastava

Since I am in the 95th year of my life, I do not go out much. But I like both Girish and his work. I have seen each one of his films and have arranged them to be shown in Canadian film festivals at Montreal and Toronto. I have been to his house in Bangalore and seen some of the footage of Dweepa that he was then making.

I was curious to learn what a film on his work would be like. So I came to the screening that you had organised. It was kind of you to suggest to my daughter that you would send a DVD to me to watch but I prefer watching films on a screen as they are shot with that idea in mind.I feel that if a film is good, it
should be watched on a proper screen.

What a fantastically beautiful film you have made! It is beautifully shot and competently edited. The script is good and the editing and camerawork too are superb. It does justice to Girish’s genius and work. I forgot my backace as it was a pleasure to watch it. It is difficult to believe that it is your first film. You had the right kind of people like Maithili, Arun and others to point out the finer points of Girish’s work.

Thank you very much. Are you planning to show it at MIFF in Mumbai?
